Marcia Gay Harden
Marcia Gay Harden, born on August 14, 1959, in La Jolla (California), was the third daughter of five. She was the daughter of Beverly (Bushfield) she was a domestic worker, and her dad, Thad Harold Harden a soldier. The family relocated often -She first began to be interested in acting when her family was living in Greece and she seen plays in Athens. Harden went on to study at American Universities in Europe, then returned to the US in 1983 to finish her degree at the University of Texas. She received an MFA degree from NYU and began her career as an actor. Her previous roles included the film in 1986, The Imagemaker, but her first major role was in Miller's Crossing, the Coen Brothers hilarious, offbeat tribute to the gangster genre. Harden's sultry portrayal of Verna as a mysterious, attractive moll, was praised by reviews. Harden also played supporting roles. Harden was the lead character in Ava Gardner, a TV biopic based on Frank Sinatra.
